Carolina Foothills Workshop
In November members of EPNet met in North Carolina for the Fall Workshop. The weather and locations were both spectacular providing some truly outstanding and unique photo ops!
From Heather Swan, Ontario, Canada:
"This was the best workshop ever! I cannot believe how much I have learned from this experience. I feel like I am at a new level. I cannot believe all the beautiful places, horses and people EPNet lined up so that we could have these amazing photo opportunities and learning experiences. I am still pinching myself--did we really do all that?! Grand Prix level dressage horse, horses and hounds, carriage horses, beautiful horse farms, a model on stage with a horse! It's was an equine photographer's dream come true to photograph beautiful horses in a gorgeous setting like the Carolina foothills.
What a pleasure it was to spend time with other photographers that are equally passionate about horses."
From Elanor Wainscott:
"While we were there I heard someone comment that it exceeded their expectations and I have to say that I agree with that sentiment! I knew we were going to go to several barns to shoot, but other than that I had no idea what to expect. Well, the sheer amount of stuff they had lined up for us was just so wonderful; conformation shots, horses at liberty, Dressage, Carriage Driving, Horses and Hounds, and even a horse on a stage with a fashion model. Plus, all the little tips along the way, such as pointing out different lighting situations, was just fantastic and really helped to open up my eyes more. I'll never forget butterfly lighting! It really was an Equine Photographer's dream come true!"
