Day With My Horse was created to capture and tell a visual story of the day-to-day, yet very special connections between humans and their horses—the moments that touch us deeply but rarely get preserved. My photographic style is candid yet artful, and I specialize in designing photo albums and DVD montages that let the sweetest, most dramatic and routine moments of the day tell your story. Invariably, the most compelling photos are those least posed.
I combine my love for horses, a passion for striking photographs, an eye for a story, and a 25+ year career as a graphic designer and photo editor. After rescuing a young horse, relying on the patience of trainers, and documenting the experience in a blog for 5 years, I better appreciate the love, tears, intuition, determination, hope, guessing and guts that go into life with a horse. I experience enough special moments with my own horse to know a photo album telling that story would be a treasure.
For me, the bonds with a horse are formed in the days and months preparing for the judges or the trail--the hours on the ground and in the saddle, rain or shine, where responses are ingrained and potentials nourished. It's those back story moments I preserve and offer.
