Laurie Taylor has had a lifetime of working with horses.
She was raised with her family's Arabian Horse breeding program. Over the years she has competed Western, Hunter, Saddle Seat, Sport Horse, 4-H, Gymkhana, Trail, Trail Trials, CTRs, Over Fences, Halter, Sport Horse in Hand, Showmanship, Horsemanship, Parades, Vaulting (earning her bronze medal) and more.
These disciplines came with Arabians, Quarter Horses, Appaloosas, Thoroughbreds, and many many other breeds and crosses.
Laurie also worked on a large breeding ranch and has her own Arabian Horse breeding program. She also enjoys trail riding and camping with her horses.
She photographs horse shows for a wide assortment of breeds and most disciplines, and is available for private ranch shoots as well.
All of this background has given her a deep understanding of the unique photographic needs of her clients regardless of whether it is for portraits, stallion promotion, extreme action disciplines, conformation, head studies, or more.
Laurie's equine images have been published in a number of horse related publications and sites and have been on display in a variety of art venues.
In her first-ever photography competition (still as an amateur photographer at that time) one image was chosen as the "People's Choice" award winner against the best from all categories, and other images were placed in the top five in thier respective divisions.
