Diane C. Nicholson is a photo-artist who specializes in companion animals and includes "the horse" as one of those. The respect and love for horses that she swears she was born with has held up and grown through the decades. And it is that which travels through the lens to the horse and reflects onto the film.
Diane no longer photographs events and only rarely personal portraits or portfolios. As a vegan and animal rights activist she has decided to pursue her photo-art. "I found myself saying 'no' to so many shoots that involved ethical dilemmas for me that I could no longer function as a portrait/commercial equine photographer. The art work that I'm creating allows my passion without compromising my ethics."
She also photographs for stock and her work can be seen on feed bags, magazine covers, book covers, in books (including 12 in a grade 2 text book), major advertising campaigns, catalog covers, etc.
She and her husband, Harry, have been working with Photoshop for the better part of a decade and design ads and art.
Diane is also a published freelance writer and editor. She can write copy for press releases, ads and web sites and edits the same. |
