Another picture of my horse from this past November. He is kept out on Vancouver Island, BC. It's rare that they get much snow, but on this occasion there was just enough on the ground. My second favourite picture of him I took this year.

My horse's best buddy is Rothwell. This is a picture of Rothwell. He is a 32 year old Irish Draft Thoroughbred who excelled in dressage and has long since been retired. I took a special moment to hang out with him this past summer and he was fun to photograph

Admittedly, I've spent way more time on technique this year and don't have much to show for it. But, I am wiser and eager to apply some of what I've learned! But, my best shots from 2011 were weddings we did. Guess that's not really appropriate for this thread? This is one of my two favorites from the donkey show we did last spring. It was before I refined some settings that decreased noise. That was much later in the year! But, I love this one anyway. I've posted it before.

This was part of lesson on shutter speed priority. Something that has made a profound difference in my results. Wish I could go back and try this again! This sort of experimenting was a blast! This mare was having even more fun than I was!

All of the images here are really great! It was a good year I see!

My three favorite images from 2011 all came to me from being a part of a 365 day challenge. I barely made it through, but so glad I participated.

My first favorite is Grace. This image will always hold something very special to me. Grace was rescued back in 2008, starved nearly to death and never touched by human hands. It took 3 years, but Gracie just found her forever home in December of 2011. Rescue horses are beautiful.
