Images to combine:
The first image shows a 9-day old Friesian filly in a beautiful pose, but the lighting is harsh and the background is contrasty and busy.
The second image shows ice melting in the sun on the rear windshield of a car.

The final combined image of the 9-day old filly "Dancing on Diamonds" uses hide-all and reveal-all masks, crop and image rotation, solid color fill layers for the mist in the background, dodge and burn layers, clone stamp, selective sharpening, added highlight in the eye, photo warming filter, color adjustment layers, and directional lighting effect. There were lots of things to practice on with this image.
