Well, this one would be my favorite even if it hadn't been the most popular. This is my husband helping me out with the concept and of course the setting was absolutely perfect; how I hope to revisit it! The time of day (early morning); the fact there was a horse in that pen (there isn't always); the color on the mountain; it all worked together! This was for contrast. Kevin is carrying both a pony saddle and a heavy roping saddle, though the light and dark contrast were even more the subject. I like all the strings hanging down; almost like an etching.

Then, for similar reasons, this was my second favorite. Kevin bareback on Buck. Both trusting one another (and they do).

Here's hoping that I'll find one I like even better before the end of this! But, I'll put this one in for now.

It was a true challenge to get that one photo to that word every day and it absorbed a lot of energy just to think about, to develop strategies, find alternatives, to choose the one.
I learnt a lot about the participants, their way of photographing, their surroundings, sometimes part of their destiny.
It was a very friendly athmosphere that let a positive feeling in the end.
The pro photographers shared with us amateurs their knowledges and set the level pretty high but that was good - the challenge in the challenge.
I knew and now know even more that I have to increase my technical knowledges but also that my feeling and my way to watch close is good for photography too. As addidional part I have to think more out of the box to words and I would like to increase my artistic knowledges around photographie.
And I learnt a lot of new english words - like ... that rocks, hit the nail, a hook aso.

My favorit is the horse kiss (Luwanayas Tay el Shay and Luwanaya's El Charysim)

my second favorite would be perspective: the mares necks in a row parallel to the roof in the background and 2nd horse mane with a hole to let see the eye of the 3rd horse.

3rd pic is my sky or my peaceful, have to think about a bit more.
I see this are the more artistic ones, but also some others I liked, even the public did't that much as I did - blessed, contrast, light, water I take here the sky but will maybe change.
I did and made sepia - in all is something of my love to horses

Christina's white Arabians are one of my favorites. It is an elegant image.

I have two favorites to add now, am pondering the third.

Spontaneous.
The mare Novelera, that arrived at Carien's last night...finally, is one I've chosen. The mare is a quiet regal horse.
But after a bath on a hot day, she did some leaps and twirls and her Andalusian spirit and beauty was apparent.
