Hello all. I'm still reeling in the magic those regal stallions racing within inches of our lenses! I don't have words to describe all of the emotions that fill me from the once-in-a-lifetime photo opportunities that accompanied this workshop, the inspiration and instruction from Gabriele and the opportunity for making new and lasting friendships.

So, I'll shut up and just start posting some images. I hope the rest of you will post your images! I want to see what happened at the first workshop. Ah, I do want to thank Carien and Darlene for all of their hard work in making this incredible experience possible. I save my impressions of the last night of the workshop for later.

Who ever said working with big powerful, running horses was easy? See that human foot in the bottom far left corner?

I've never seen a live International caliber CDI before. It was simply awesome!! And the harness and carriages are so spectacular that the announcer talks about them, as well as the horses, owners, drivers, etc.

This was harsh midday light, unfortunately, but breathtaking in person.

INSPO, Iron Spring Farm South were gracious and prolific with their gorgeous horses and lovely (or handsome) models.

In our session we got to "shoot" Meghan, and her lovely pair of Welsh Section B ponies, Bert and Ernie.

If you've never sat on the ground while a stallion runs loose around you, here's what it looks like. This comes straight from the camera.
